- What do you think the artist means? That a whole family will be in danger, including the children's schooling
- Describe the action taking place in the cartoon. The family is diving into a budget that can only harm them because its shark infested.
- Explain the message of the cartoon That these new cuts and damages are only going to harm everyone.
- What ideological perspective is represented by the cartoonist? It doesn't matter, it affects everyone.
- How does this cartoon relate to a current political event? The government shut down and spending from the budget
- How does it relate to our in class discussions? About obamas jobs
- How does satire and irony influence the topics covered in the cartoon? That the pool is bad on so many levels, that its a pool, and the have to stay a float, and also that there are sharks, and theyre all diving.
